M.Tech Admissions 2013:-

Thapar University M.Tech Admission 2013:-

Admission to all the ME/MTech programmes shall be made on the basis of valid GATE Score in respective discipline. First preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates.  After offering seats to the GATE qualified candidates, for seats remaining vacant (if any), the entrance test shall be conducted by the University.

Admission to ME/MTech  programme will be open to a candidate who obtains at least 50% marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination from a recognised University.

Qualifying examination for ME/MTech programme (regular as well as part-time) in various disciplines is as under:

ME Programmes:-

CAD/CAM & Robotics

BE/BTech degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.

Civil (Structures) Engineering

BE/BTech degree in Civil Engineering.

Civil (Infrastructure)  Engineering

BE / BTech in Civil Engineering, BE/ BTech in Infrastructure Engineering

Electronics & Communications Engineering

BE/BTech degree in Electronics & Communication

Production & Industrial Engineering

BE/BTech degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Automobile Engineering.

Software Engineering:-

BE/BTech degree in any discipline of Engineering OR MSc in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Electronics/Physics/Operations Research/Information Science/Information Technology OR MCA OR Equivalent

Computer Science & Engineering:-

BE/BTech degree in any discipline of Engineering OR MSc in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Electronics/Physics/Operations Research/Information Science/Information Technology OR MCA OR Equivalent

Gate Qualified candidates with BE/BTech in Computer Engg/Computer Science/Information Technology shall only be considered for admission on the basis of GATE score.

Electronic Instrumentation & Control Engineering

BE/BTech/ degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering OR MSc Physics with Electronics

Power Systems and Electric Drives

BE./BTech  in Electrical Engineering.

Thermal Engineering:- BE/BTech degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Aeronautical/Chemical/RAC/Automobile Engineering

MTech Programmes:-

Materials & Metallurgical Engineering

BE/BTech degree in any branch of Engineering OR MSc in Materials Science/Physics/ Chemistry (with Physics and Mathematics at BSc Level)

Environmental Science & Technology:-

BE/BTech degree in Civil/Chemical/Mining/Metallurgy/Biotechnology Engineering OR MSc in Chemistry/Bio-chemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences.

VLSI Design & CAD:-

BE/BTech degree in Electronics /Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electronics (Instrumentation & Control)/Electrical Engineering OR MSc in Computer Science/Electronics/Physics with Electronics / Instrumentation with Mathematics as one of the subjects in B.Sc

Chemical Engineering:-

BE/BTech (Chemical Engineering/Technology, Environmental, Biotechnology, Pulp & Paper Tech. or allied discipline) or MSc (Applied/Industrial Chemistry) with Mathematics up to B.Sc. Level.

Computer Science & Applications

BE/BTech Degree in any discipline OR M.Sc. in Mathematics /Statistics /Operation Research /Computer Science / Electronics/ Information Technology/ Physics OR MCA OR equivalent.

Industrial Pollution and Abatement:-

BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering/Technology, Environment, Biotechnology, Pulp and Paper, Civil, Mechanical, or allied Disciplines or MSc in Environment/Applied Chemistry /Industrial Chemistry with Mathematics at Bachelor Degree.

Note: Candidate who has passed Section B of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Grade IETE and has three years of professional experience in reputed organisation are also eligible for admission to ME/MTech programme in respective disciplines.

Sponsored Candidates with 55% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission. Such candidates must have a minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational and research institutions/any Government Department of Government Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. The employer in the sponsorship certificate must indicate that the fee will be borne by the sponsoring organization and the candidate will not be withdrawn before the completion of the programme. The fee of the sponsored candidates shall be paid by the sponsoring agency from the company’s bank account.


SVNIT M.Tech Admission 2013:-

I NON - SPONSORED CANDIDATES (with GATE score):

a) OPEN CATEGORY/OBC CATEGORY:

B.E./ B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks or (CGPA 5.5) and

Possessing valid GATE score.

b) RESERVED SC/ST CATEGORY

B.E./ B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 45% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks or (5.0 CGPA) and

Possessing valid GATE score.

SPONSORED CANDIDATES:

a) OPEN CATEGORY:

B.E. or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks ( CGPA=5.5) and
Preference will be given to the candidates with valid GATE score.
Minimum working experience of one year after graduation.

b) RESERVED SC/ST CATEGORY

B.E. or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 45% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks ( CGPA 5.0) and
Preference will be given to the candidates with valid GATE score. However, one seat may be filled at a higher preference for those candidates who are working at SVNIT in sponsored research project. Such candidate should have worked in the department for at least six months.
Minimum working experience of one year after graduation.


DTU M.Tech Admission 2013:-

All the applications received will  be short  listed  on  the  basis of  performance in GATE and qualifying examination for  Full-time and  Part-time Programs  respectively. The short listed candidates will be called for interviews

M.Tech. (CE/EE/ME/PE)

Eligibility:-

 i.  A candidate must  have  passed  the  Bachelor's   Degree  Examination in  the  appropriate branch of  engineering (Electrical  / Mechanical / Production / Electronics   &  Communication / Civil /Control & Instrumentation/Computer Engineering/Information Technology with a minimum of  60% marks  in aggregate  from a recognised University or any other Examination recognized by the University Equivalent  thereto.
OR
A candidate must have passed in the A.M. I.E. (India) Exam, with appropriate specialization/ Grade  I.E. T.E. (India)  A.M.I.E.  (London) A.M.I. Mech.  Engg. (London) A.M.I.  Structure Engineering, any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.Tech. by the  University.
ii.   A candidate for admission to full time program must have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

M.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering):-

Eligibility:-

i. The candidate should have passed B.E./B. Tech. Degree from a recognized University in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical Engineering or M.Sc. in Computer Science (with Physics and Mathematics at the  B.Sc. level) or M.C.A (with Physics and Mathematics at B.Sc. level) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or any other  examination recognized by the  DTU equivalent thereto.
ii. A candidate for admission to full-time M. Tech. Program must have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

M.Tech.(Software Engineering):-

Eligibility:-

i.  The candidate should  have passed BE/B. Tech. (or its  equivalent examination as specified in Computer Engineering /IT /EC or M.Sc. in Computer Science (with Physics at the  B.Sc. level)  or  M.C.A (with Physics and  Mathematics at B.Sc. level)  with a minimum of  60% marks in aggregate of a recognised University or any other  examination recognised by the University equivalent there to.
ii.   A candidate for admission to full-time M. Tech. Program must have a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering) score.


Jadvapur University M.E/ M.Tech Admission 2013:-

Jadavpur University invites applications for Master degree in Engineering (M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch) in various Engineering departments such as Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Metallurgical & Material Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Architecture, Production Engineering, Information Technology, Food Technology & Bio-Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation &Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, School of Material Science and Technology, School of Education Technology, School of Water Resources Engineering, School of Bio Science and Engineering, School of Mobile Computing & Communication, School of Nuclear Studies & Application, School of Energy Studies.

Eligibility for Admission:-

Obtained Bachelor’s degree in Engg./Tech./ Pharm./Arch. Or M.Sc./M.A. as given in the Schedule below with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PD) and qualified through GATE/NET.

Passed Membership/Associate Membership Examination in the appropriate discipline conducted by all professional bodies, like Institution of Engineers (India)/Indian Institute of Architects/Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers/ Institute of Electronics Telecommunication Engineers etc. approved by Govt. of India, with at lest 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PD) and qualified through GATE are eligible for admission for to PG courses in Engg./Tech./Arch./Pharm. as GATE category candidates.

Selection procedure for admission:-

GATE Score – 70 marks
Interview and/or Admission Test – 30 marks.
