CLAT - Common Law Admission Test is an all India entrance examination conducted by 11 National Law Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). This two hour entrance test consists of objective type questions based on subjects like English, General Knowledge, Basic Mathematics, Legal and Logical Reasoning. National Law School of India University, Nalsar University Of Law, National Law Institute University are the few institutes that conduct CLAT exam. The minimum qualification required for a candidate to appear for this test is HSC and the candidate should not be more than 20 yrs while appearing for this test.

CLAT 2013 Eligibility:-
Eligibility for Two Year LL.M Degree Course:- A candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST /OBC and persons with Disability)
Eligibility for 5 year integrated BA/B.Sc*/B Psc/ BBA^/ BComLL.B (Hons) Degree Course:- A candidate should have passed his/her Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and persons with Disability)
CLAT Exam Preparation Tips / Tricks / Techniques:-
Regular Practice:- You have to keep solving more and more question papers based on this examination and practice more. You must go through the daily newspapers and keep updating your general knowledge. Writing essays and reading more about new words will help you to brush up your skills in language and comprehension.
Managing Time:- There are many different sections in the question paper. For completing each section, you must set a time limit. This process will help you to finish the paper within the time frame.
Mathematics:- Mathematics is the easiest section, but those not good at maths need to provide proper time to this right from the beginning. Most of the questions are from arithmetic.
Logical Reasoning:- Logical reasoning tests your logic as well as comprehending ability. This also tests your rationality and argumentation powers. A good grasp over English helps. Therefore, you will require lots of practice apart from building a good logical mind.
English:- English questions are similar to the school exams. Therefore it does not require lots of effort if your vocabulary and basics are good. Still, one requires to practice lots of tests before the big day.
General Knowledge:- For General Knowledge & Current Affairs one should keep maintaining a note of the important and relevant news per day.
