GPAT - Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is conducted by Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara under the aegis of National Monitoring Committee, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi for for admission in Master’s programme in Pharmacy (M.Pharma) and also for awarding fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduate along with engineering graduates. These scores are accepted in various AICTE approved colleges. Students who wish to apply for the Masters Program in Pharmacy appear for this exam. They need to clear GPAT and also need to have four years bachelor’s degrees in pharmacy and those who are appearing for final year of B. Pharmacy Course are also eligible for appearing for GPAT 2013. The paper pattern is very monotonous the students are asked multiple choice questions and they are required to mark the right answer in an optical response sheet.
GPAT 2013 Eligibility:- Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates) and those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are eligible for appearing in GPAT-2011 Examination.
GPAT 2013 Pattern:-
The GPAT-2011 question paper will consist of one hundred fifty (150 Nos.) multiple choice objective questions only. Candidates have to mark the correct choice by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS). Each right answer will carry three(03) marks while for each wrong answer one(01) mark will be deducted.
Each question will have four choices for the answer. Out of these, only one choice is correct. Each choice contains a single, stand-alone statement / phrase / data / structure.
GPAT Exam Preparation Tips / Tricks / Techniques:-
- Revision is very important, make your schedule like this that you revise previous learn chapters.
- Whenever you read any chapter write important points on the top of page of your copy/register, make these points memory tip results (MTP’S).
- Whenever you start preparation read pharmacology and medicinal chemistry simultaneously.
- Make charts, flow diagram & tables and paste them on the wall of your room.
- Find some topic from which one question is always asked in previous year examinations. So prepare these topics with extra effort.
- Solve more and more questions. Make your rhythm to solve calculation type questions so you get your speed.
- Give one day for one subject for revision of all topics (whatever notes you prepared for that particular subject).
