Gas Authority of India (GAIL) is the largest natural gas distributor having its head quarter in New Delhi. This was set up by the government of India in August 1984 in order to create a separate infrastructure for the gas sector. It has managed to grow its business on a wide scale. This company has also introduced exciting career opportunities for the existing employees as well as for the interested candidates. However the candidates applying for jobs need to fulfill the required details to get placed with this company. The selection of the candidate will be on the basis of qualification and performance. Officer (Library)
Grade: E-1, scale: Rs. 20600 – 46500/-
Upper Age Limit:-
PWD(HH)-GEN:- 37 Years
PWD(HH)- SC/ST:- 42 Years
PWD(HH)-OBC(NCL):- 40 Years
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Graduate with Master Degree in Library Science with minimum 55% marks for PWD (HH) candidates.
Minimum Essential Experience:- Minimum 3 years Post Qualification Executive Experience in line. Candidates working in Govt. / Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale.
Officer (Official Language)
Grade: E-1, Pay scale: Rs. 20600 – 46500/- 01 post reserved for OBC (NCL) candidates
Upper Age Limit:- 35 Years for OBC (NCL) Candiates and 40 Years for OBC (NCL)-PWD candidades applying against 01 OBC (NCL) post.
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Master Degree in Hindi Literature with minimum 60% marks for OBC (NCL) candidates and 55 % marks for OBC (NCL) – PWD candidates. Should have English as one of the subjects in graduation. Desirable: Degree or Diploma in translation in Hindi to English and vice-versa from any recognized University or equivalent.
Minimum Essential Experience:- Minimum 3 years Post Qualification Executive Experience in line. Candidates working in Govt. / Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale.
Officer (Laboratory)
Grade: E-1, Pay scale: Rs. 20600 – 46500/-
Upper Age Limit:- For OBC (NCL) Candiates – 35 Years. For OBC (NCL)-PWD Candidates – 40 Years
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Master Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry with minimum 60 % marks for OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% marks for OBC (NCL)-PWD candidates.
Minimum Essential Experience:- 3 years Post Qualification Executive Experience in line in quality control laboratory of large organization in the Hydrocarbon industry like Oil Refineries, Gas processing plants, Petrochemical plants or Fertilizer, Steel, Chemical or other relevant process industries. Candidates working in Govt. / Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale.
Officer (Security)
Grade: E-1 Pay scale: Rs. 20600 – 46500/-
Upper Age Limit:- For OBC (NCL) Candiates – 48 Years. For OBC (NCL)-PWD Candidates – 53 Years
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor Degree with minimum 60% marks for OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% marks for OBC (NCL)-PWD candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with Diploma in Industrial Security.
Minimum Essential Experience:- Minimum 3 years Post qualification Experience as Inspector in Central Police Organizations (CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP etc), preferably having experience in a security installation and Fire Fighting / First Aid.
Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
Grade: S-7 Pay scale: Rs. 16300 – 38500/-
Upper Age Limit:- For SC/ST Candiates – 45 Years. For SC/ST-PWD Candidates – 50 Years
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Production / Production & Industrial / Manufacturing / Mechanical & Automobile with minimum 55% marks for SC/ST and SC/ST-PWD candidates.
Minimum Essential Experience:- Minimum 10 years Post Qualification Experience in line in supervisory capacity. Candidates working in Govt. / Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale.
Junior Engineer (Electrical)
Grade: S-7 Pay scale: Rs. 16300 – 38500/-
Upper Age Limit:- For SC/ST Candiates – 45 Years. For SC/ST-PWD Candidates – 50 Years
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Diploma in Engineering in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics with minimum 55% marks for SC/ST candidates and SC/ST-PWD candidates.
Minimum Essential Experience:- Minimum 10 years Post Qualification Experience in line in supervisory capacity. Candidates working in Govt. / Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale.

Grade: S-7 Pay scale: Rs. 16300 – 38500/-
Upper Age Limit:- For SC/ST Candiates – 45 Years. For SC/ST-PWD Candidates – 50 Years
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- Diploma in Engineering in Chemical / Petrochemical / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology with minimum 55% marks for SC/ST candidates and SC/ST-PWD candidates.
Minimum Essential Experience:- Minimum 10 years Post Qualification Experience in line in supervisory capacity. Candidates working in Govt. / Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale.
