The Navy safe guards the Indian sea territory and also enhances international relations. There are many candidates who apply for various posts in the Indian Navy to serve their nation as being a part of Navy brings in a sense of pride and honor. The Indian Navy issues notifications regarding the job openings in various branches from time to time so that eligible candidates can apply for the same. The selection procedure of the candidates depends on their performance in the interview. Further details regarding the job openings and other essential details required by the candidates are given below.
Indian Navy Recruitment 2012-2013:-
THE INDIAN NAVY INVITES UNMARRIED MEN AND WOMEN TO JOIN THE INDIAN NAVY AS SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICER AS PILOT/OBSERVER FOR THE COURSE COMMENCING DEC 2012
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-
Age:- 19 to 24 years born between 02 Jan 1989 and 01 Jan 1994; both dates inclusive.
Note:- Applicants who have FAILED in PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test) earlier are not eligible for Pilot Entry, but can apply for the Observer Entry scheme.
Educational Qualifications:-
A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Should have qualified Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 level.
The gender requirement is as follows:-
Ser. Entry - Gender
01 Pilot Men
02 Observer Men & Women
Note:- Candidates who have not completed their Degree (i.e. appearing candidates) need not apply. Physical Standards
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height for men162.5 cms. and for women 152 cms. with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distantvision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/ night blind.
Selection Procedure:-
Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account.
(b) SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled from Aug to Nov 2012 at Bangalore.
Candidates have to submit application online for this entry. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidates will result in cancellation of his/her candidature. The candidates applying online (e-application) can do so from 24 Apr 2012. The online application registration will cease on 19 May 2012.
