ONGC, MBA Basin, Kolkata invites application from interested eligible candidates for the following posts. The job involves posting in field apart from other working areas
Assistant Technician (Civil)
Number of Post:- 01 (One)
Pay Scale:- Rs. 12000/- to Rs. 27000/-
Minimum qualification:- Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Age limit:- 30 years (as on 31/08/2011)
Level:- A-II
Category:- Unreserved.
Junior Assistant Technician (Welding)
Number of Post 01 (One)
Pay Scale:- Rs. 11000/- to Rs. 24000-
Minimum qualification:- Matric with Science and Trade Certificate in Welding.
Age limit:- 30 years (as on 31/08/2011)
Level:- A-I
Category:- Unreserved.
Candidates possessing the requisite qualifications may apply in the following format in a typed A-4 size paper only.
1. Attested copy of all documents/certificates against Sl.No.5, 6 and 8 duly attested by a Gazetted officer are required to be furnished along with the application. Affix a passport size photograph duly attested.
2. Selection will be strictly on the basis of Written Test, Trade Test and Personal Interview. Eligible candidates would be intimated about the written test subsequently. Candidates who have already appeared for written test/trade test and interview held at Kolkata on 23/07/2011 for the above mentioned posts need not apply again.
3. Selection is purely on merit basis. Any influence at any stage of selection process will disqualify the candidature.
4. ONGC reserves the right to fill or not to fill, either wholly or in part, the number of vacancies advertised, without assigning any reason.
5. Candidates working in Government/Government Undertaking should submit their applications through proper channel. Application of an already employed candidate not routed through proper channel/not forwarded by the employer cannot be considered.
6. Candidature of the candidates submitting false certificates or suppression/submission of incorrect information shall be liable for disqualification/rejection at any stage.
7. The posts are meant for candidates belonging to the State of West Bengal only.
8. Application complete in all respect should be sent by post to Incharge R&P, ONGC, 41-J.L. Nehru Road, Kanak Building, 2nd floor, Kolkata 700 071 on or before 22/08/2011. The envelope should be super scribed as ‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _________________________________________________________. Applications received after expiry of the last date, applications without enclosure or signature and incomplete applications are liable to be rejected. Chief Manager.

i am 4th year mechanical engineering student from SRM university. i am willing to work in ONGC. My question is that, i was not able to fill the form for GATE exam this time, can i apply alternately for ONGC exam.
