UP Police is the main law enforcement agency in Uttar Pradesh that claims to have the largest single police force in the world. The state of Uttar Pradesh comprises of 8 Police zones and each zone houses 2-3 police ranges. Each zone is lead by a highest rank officer i.e. Inspector General of Police (IGP). IGP is further followed by ACPs, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, Assistant Police Inspectors, Sub Inspectors and Constables. To become a police officer one requires lot of hard work including talking with witnesses, obtaining evidence and determining potential suspects.
