The initiative of Distance Education was made in order to provide all necessary facilities to those people who left their studies due to financial constraints. Distance Education in India has really helped many professionals, dropouts and married people to complete their higher studies through correspondence study. With such a good response to the plan, Anna University Distance Education was established in the year 2007 to provide online learning. With the strong network of 13 centers across the state of Tamil Nadu, the center offers quality post graduate education in the field of Business Administration, Computer Application and Science (Information Technology & Computer Science).

Anna Universtiy Distance Education Courses:-
MBA - General Management, Technology Management, Financial Services Management, Retail Management, Health Services Management, Human Resources Management
Duration:- 2 years - 4 semesters
Eligibility:-
Any Degree of three years of study duration and a pass in the entrance test conducted by Anna University.
MCA:-
Duration - 3 years- 6 semesters
Eligibility:- Any degree of 3 years of study duration with Maths at HSC level or degree level and a pass in entrance test conducted by Anna University.
M.Sc - IT:-
Duration - 2 years - 4 semesters
Eligibility:- B.Sc. Mathematics / Computer Science / Physics / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Applied Science / Computer Technology / Applied Science - Computer Technology /Applied Science - Information Technology / Applied Science - Computer Systems Maintenance and Networking / Electronics / B.C.A. / B.E.S. or equivalent and a pass in the entrance test conducted by Anna University.
