Annamalai University

Annamalai University is located at Annamalai Nagar, Tamilnadu. It was established in 1929.  Annamalai University has been recognised by UGC and The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited Annamalai University at the 'B++' (80 – 85) level among the universities. Since its inception, the Annamalai University has grown rapidly and today, it has 50 departments of study and over 3240 members on its teaching staff. The University Campus including the Colleges, Hostels and Play grounds occupies an area of about 1,000 acres. The University campus, including the colleges, hostels, and playgrounds, occupies an area of about thousand acres.

Annamalai University is an autonomous residential university has two centres for advanced study, one in marine biology and three other in linguistic. Today it is truly international in character with students drawn from overy part of India and also from UK, USA, Srilanks, Malaysia, Singapore, Nigeria, Magatous, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and other Countries.

Annamalai University Admissions 2012:-

1. Annamalai University Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the date scheduled above on payment of prescribed fee noted above in Person or by sending a Demand Draft drawn in favour of ” The Registrar, Annamalai University, Annamalinagar ” from any bank at Chennai along with a self addressed stamped thick craft envelope of size 30 cm X 24 cm ( stamps affixed to the value of Rupee30/- ) with the name of the Program for which the application is required to be super scribed boldly on the envelope from th following address :

2. The Name of the Program should be clearly indicated in the requisition letter. The Name and Address of the Candidate and Program for Which Application is made should be clearly indicated on the back side of the Demand Draft also.

Annamalai University Distance Education:-

Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education was established in 1979. It offers four hundred and one different programmes in under the Regular Stream. All the programmes of study offered by the Directorate of Distance Education have the approval of the Distance Education Council, New Delhi.

Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education has well equipped with computer and other infrastructure, adequate teaching faculty and administrative set-up of its own, study centres, computer training centres, etc., to serve its students' clientele in their best interest at their door steps.
