About the University
|
|
The Bangalore University is located in the state of Karnataka in the garden city Bangalore or now famously known as the silicon valley of India. The Bangalore university or popularly known as BU was established in 1964 as a subsidiary of Mysore University to embrace the higher learning educational institutes of Bangalore and Kolar region of Karnataka. Bangalore university is a leading university of India, a member of 'The Association of Indian Universities (AIU)' and has been accredited a five star status by NAAC and is currently ranked 13 in India, it has a sprawling new campus known as Jnana Bharathi spread over 1100 acres of land.
The Bangalore University has 600 affiliated colleges and has educational jurisdiction over established institutes namely the University Visveswaraya College of Engineering, National Institute Mental Health and Neuroscience, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science and the Central College. The university also has collaborations with India’s space agency ISRO and is involved in several futuristic programs of Indian space program. The university has six faculties namely arts, engineering, science, commerce and management, law and education. The post graduate and research studies of Bangalore University are of a high standard with the maximum number of PhD holders in India passing out from Bangalore University every year. It has a well equipped library, hostel facility for students and international students and highly qualified faculty members and a solid infrastructure.
Courses Offered by Bangalore University
The Bangalore University offers graduate, postgraduate, doctoral and research programs in a wide range of faculties that include arts, sciences, engineering, commerce, law and education. The post graduate courses under Bangalore University also have integrated programs for some majors that have duration of 5 years and require a plus two pre-university science course of Karnataka board or equivalent to it, apart from these there are doctoral and diploma programs offered by the Bangalore University. The Bangalore University has collaboration with several national, local and international universities, institutions and organizations. The university provides great infrastructure, facilities and excellent academic environment to both its students and faculties.
Bangalore University Admissions 2012
For all the graduate level education you need a pre-university plus two pass, for all postgraduate course you need a graduate degree in the specified subject, for integrated course that has a duration of 5 years requires a pre-university plus two course with an aggregate of atleast 50% marks in the specified subject. For doctoral and research program you have to contact the individual departments and colleges of Bangalore University. The Bangalore University issues notification for applications form mostly during the last week of June; it is notified in all the leading newspapers and the university website.
Bangalore University Distance Education
The directorate of correspondence courses and Bangalore University distance education offers undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, certificate and diploma level in the subjects of arts, commerce, languages, education, computer applications and mathematics totaling 28 courses through distance education. The students can now apply for online for distance education courses from Bangalore University. The students can apply online for application forms for distance education on the website http://www.dccbub.in/. You can also obtain application forms from the selected and designated branches of state bank of Mysore across the state. For more detailed information check the Bangalore university website

I did my bca from jain college in the year 2011, but i had a baklog in 5th sem in subject Banking nad insurance.i had recieved my photo copy of the answer sheet and after getting it checked with my teacher i gave it for reval but stil dint get the paper cleared.There is no way that i could fail in that subject. can any thing be done now as i am hunting for jobs now but this a drawback in my profile...
