Jamia Millia Islamia University is located at New Delhi. It was established in 1920. and became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi is known for serving the best educational qualification in the fields of Education, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities & Languages, Engineering & Technology as well as Law. Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the prestigious universities of the country. Jamia Millia Islamia University Admissions 2012:-

Admissions to all the courses in Jamia Millia Islamia are held annually. Candidates seeking  admission to any course are required to submit the prescribed Application Form which may be obtained from the University on payment of the prescribed fees, or it may be downloaded from this website and submitted alongwith the fees as mentioned in the Prospectus. Only original downloaded Forms should be submitted along with the prescribed fee. The candidates are required to go through an Entrance Test which is followed by an Interview and, in some specific courses, a Group Discussion is also held.

Jamia Millia Islamia University Distance Education:-

The Arjun Singh Centre for Distance & Open Learning started in Jamia Millia Islamia with the assistance of Distance Education Council in September 2002. The Centre for Distance and Open Learning is approved by Ministry of Human Recourse Development Govt of India in 2009 and all the programmes running by Centre for Distance and Open Learning are recognized by joint committee DEC,AICTE,UGC/ NCTE. The centre has established 31 study/programme centres. These centres are in UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Chahattisgarh, Gujarat, Orissa and Maharashtra.

Presently the Centre for Distance & Open Learning offers 16 progrmames on 31(Thirty One) Study/Programme centres for counselling of students enrolled in various programmes. These study centres by and large, cover parts of North India. The centre plans to expand its activities to other regions in the ensuing session after getting the support from Distance Education Council.
