Periyar University is located of Salem. It was established in 1997 . The University got the 12(B) and 2f status from the University Grants Commission and has been accredited by NAAC with B+ grade in 2007. Periyar University has eighteen departments of study offering Post Graduate and Research Programmes and sixty six affiliated colleges.

Applications are invited for admission to (i) M.B.A., (ii) M.B.A. (Executive) and (iii) M.C.A., offered under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in the University Departments for the Academic year 2012-2013. Admissions are made based on TANCET – 2012 score for MCA and TANCET/MAT – 2012score for MBA Programme.

MBA:-

Eligibility : Any Graduate with 50% of marks. Admission: Through TANCET/MAT-2012 scores, group discussion, personal interview and academic score in UG programme.

M.B.A. (Executive)

Eligibility:-

1. Any Degree

2. Working experience of minimum 2 years Industrial /academic.

Teaching Methodology: Evening and weekend classes.

MCA:-

Eligibility: A pass in any recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in 10+2+3/4 years pattern in any discipline with +2 level Mathematics (or) any recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in 10+2+3 years pattern in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as any one the subjects M.C.A. is also available as self supportive programme.

Admission: Through TANCET-2012 score

Last Date for receipt of filled in applications: 10 days from the publication of TANCET- 2012 results.

Applications and prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Registrar on or after 15.05.2012on payment of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/DA) by DD in favour of “The Registrar, Periyar University” payable at Salem.
