Lucknow University or  University of Lucknow is located at city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1921. University of Lucknow is recognised by UGC. University of Lucknow has well stocked Library, known as Tagore Library, is the central research center of the University of Lucknow. It is here that the academic fraternity- both the preceptor and his pupils could find intellectual food. It is respected as one of the oldest, well organised and richest libraries of India. With the advent of Information Technology, this library is also changing its traditional format. The students of Lucknow University can join National Cadet Corps, NCC and National Service Scheme, NSS services to develop their personality.

University of Lucknow Admissions 2012:-

Lucknow University BA/B.Sc./B.Com Admission:- Candidate should have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination. Admission on the basis of marks obtained in the Intermediate or equivalent Examinations.

Admission in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce and Education to the M.Phil./Post-Graduate Courses:-

A candidate will be eligible for Admission to Postgraduate Courses if he/she has completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with 10+2+3 system from any University recognized by University Grants Commission and has secured a minimum 45% of marks at graduate level. However for SC/ST candidates minimum pass percentage of marks will be 40%.

The admission to the Post-Graduate Courses in the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce and Education shall be on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Graduation/Qualifying Examination.

Admission of MBA program is based on CAT score conducted by IIM.
