Memorial is also the largest university in Atlantic Canada, offering more than 100 degree programs to a student population of 17,000.
Close to 1,000 students annually come to Memorial from more than 80 countries to study at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Students can expand their horizons at one of two campuses in St. John's, including the Marine Institute, one in Corner Brook and one in Harlow, England.

Memorial University of Newfoundland is Atlantic Canada’s premiere comprehensive university. Memorial offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree options in arts, science, education, fine arts, medicine, engineering and applied science, business, music, maritime studies, technology and ocean instrumentation, human kinetics and recreation, nursing, pharmacy, resource management and social work.
Entrance scholarships are available to international students. These are merit based; no scholarship application is needed.
Students attending Memorial have access to one of Canada’s best university libraries, excellent computer labs and many specialized academic help centres. Health and counseling services are also available on-campus. International students can also avail of the services offered by the International Student Advising Office (ISA) which include help with everything from academics, health and finances to employment and cultural issues.
